Free-scoring Laragh a real threat

LARAGH UNITED

Manager:

Jody Devine (manager), Keelan Melaniff and Derek Hand (selectors).

Championship programme:

League stage round one:

Laragh United v Mullahoran, August 2

Team news:

The message from Laragh is that everything remains the same as last year. The management team is the same, Fergal McKenna is still the captain and they can still call on the same players. There is one massive difference though, in 2020 they will play in the Senior Championship after last year’s exciting intermediate success. They saved their best performance for the county final when they racked up 2-16 to ease past Belturbet. They then hit 2-13 in their Ulster quarter-final against Galbally but just lost out to the strong Tyrone champions. Jack McKenna was excellent that day and will be a key player this season. Paul Smith, Liam McKenna and Patrick Rudden will be other players expected to drive them on. Start with a game with Mullahoran, and that should be a good test to see where they are at. Scoring prowess was again evident in their Division Two opener as they notched 3-15 to win in Drumgoon.
