Team news:

In many ways the new format may prove beneficial to Carrickmacross. The Emmet’s have put in some brilliant league campaigns in recent seasons but since returning to the senior grade in 2018 they have exited the championship at the Round 2B and Round Three stage. They put so much into every game and that maybe took its toll, so maybe the shortened season will help their ambitions. They have a new manager in the form of Mattie McGleenan and the fact that they have no county players can be beneficial, even in this unique separated season. McGleenan is reporting a full bill of health for their opener against ‘Blayney in a couple of weeks and they are yet to appoint a captain. A good start is key if they are to move up the rankings.
