DARRAGH Canavan is set to miss Tyrone’s All-Ireland SFC opener against Roscommon this Sunday with a hip flexor injury.
Canavan, who was forced off with injury in the first half of Tyrone’s Ulster Senior Championship preliminary round defeat to Armagh, hasn’t recovered in time for Saturday’s trip to Hyde Park. His brother Ruairi also remains sidelined with injury.
In positive news for Tyrone fans, captain Brian Kennedy’s injury, which also saw him removed from the action against Armagh, wasn’t as bad as first feared, and he has been named to start against the Connacht champions.
The starting team is as follows:
Niall Morgan
Cormac Quinn
Peter Teague
Joey Clarke
Michael McKernan
Niall Devlin
Kieran McGeary
Brian Kennedy
Conn Kilpatrick

Ethan Jordan
Subs: Oisin O’Kane, Aidan Clarke, Ben Cullen, Peter McCaughey, Frank Burns, Ruairi McHugh, Oisin McCann, Ben McDonnell, Lorcan McGarrity, Ciarán Bogue, Eoin McElholm
