THE previously postponed Ulster Minor Football Championship is due to start on Sunday, December 20, and possibly earlier if counties agree.
Only one game was played in the provincial tournament, Monaghan’s win over Cavan, before Covid restrictions forced its cancellation.
Mark Counihan’s side will now likely meet Antrim at Corrigan Park at 1pm on Sunday, December 20 while Derry and Armagh will clash at Owenbeg, Donegal and Tyrone meet in Ballybofey and Fermanagh and Down face off at Brewster Park.
Some or all the matches could be played earlier that weekend if teams agree to bringing the fixture forward, Ulster’s CCC has said.
The semi-finals will be played on January 2/3 with the final taking place the following weekend.
There is also a planned All-Ireland series with semi-finals pencilled in provisionally for January 16/17 with the All-Ireland final due to take place on January 23/24.
